Transformation Talk with Erika Lyremark

November 1, 2012 By Alana

Welcome to Transformation Talk. Every Thursday for a year, starting in September 2012, I’ll post an interview with someone who is a force for good in the world. These men and women have either deepened their passion or found their calling after experiencing a loss, trauma or diagnosis.

I want to broaden the conversation around grief and it’s transformative power. My hope is that in their words you’ll find echoes of your story. In their inspired actions, you’ll see yourself and your immense possibility.

*Special Request: The technology of Skype is amazing and imperfect. Please listen with your heart and forgive the occasional blips on the screen.

Today’s interview is with Erika Lyremark, who is the brains and the beauty behind DailyWhip.com. I’d heard about Erika from several friends but was intimidated by the idea of being whipped (!). From the first time we spoke on the phone, through three months of coaching and into this interview, I have totally fallen for her warmth, her willingness to show up 1000% no matter what she’s doing, and her uncanny knack for pulling the best out of the women she works with.

Here she talks about how the death of a friend changed her, and how his memory helps her turn toward the magic in life.

Erika Lyremark is the mastermind behind DailyWhip.com, where women entrepreneurs go to increase their business confidence, clout + cash.

*** The next round of her signature program, The Morning Whip, begins this Sunday, November 4th. If you’re a woman entrepreneur looking to up-level your business – even if you’re not fully launched – I cannot recommend this coaching program enough. Click here for info and to sign up.

Today’s interview is with Staci Boden, healing practitioner, energy worker and author of the recently released book, Turning Dead Ends into Doorways: How to Grow Through Whatever Life Throws Your Way. I’ll have a review of Staci’s book posted next week, but as you’ll be able to tell from the video, I think it’s wonderful.

Staci and I talk about strong women, fear, grief, joy and how her daughter’s medical diagnosis rocked her world as she finished writing the book. (Plus she shares a really fun fact about herself at the end!)

Leave a comment below to be entered into the drawing for a copy of Staci’s book. Winner will be chosen on Wednesday October 31 and will be notified via email as well as here on the blog.

Staci Boden is a San Francisco-based author, healing practitioner, and energy worker. Her book, Turning Dead Ends into Doorways: How to Grow Through Whatever Life Throws Your Way (Conari Press, 2012), introduces eight teachers for navigating daily life unknowns: fear, awareness, choice, body, intuition, energy, intention and surrender. Through her company, Dancing-Tree Consulting, Staci sees private clients as well as leads personal and spiritual development workshops. Transformation Talk with Shelley Chapman

Welcome to Transformation Talk. Every Thursday for a year, I’ll post an interview with someone who is a force for good in the world.

Today’s interview is with emotional wellness expert and food relationship coach, Shelley Chapman of EatRelateLove. Shelley was so much fun to talk with and shares her journey from compulsive over eater to fabulously healthy “flexitarian” with insight and humor.

More from Shelley:

Do you ever find yourself in the Stuck-Stuffed-Starved™ cycle of eating habits? I’ve been there and I know what it’s like to want to get off that roller coaster. My own challenges with compulsive over eating and emotional eating afford me the luxuries of compassion and relatability, but most important, the capacity to guide you to a fully satisfied emotional space. Through my work, you gain tools for your emotional wellness and freedom from emotional eating! Once upon a time, I was a personal chef, but my interests and skills steered me away from the dinner plate and on to the lifestyle of the woman who prepared the food. Why? Because that woman is eating more than tangible food—she’s eating emotional baggage, guilt, resentment, and other empty calories that create toxic spaces that stifle her overall wellness.

A psychology graduate from Spelman College and Harvard University, Shelley combines psychology, wellness practices and foodie yumminess into her 1-1 sessions, workshops and programs.  To download the first module of her latest program The Body Food Freedom Formula, click here.

Today’s interview is with author and coach Erica Staab, who has been a personal touchstone for me in my healing journey. Her kindness, compassion and complete acceptance of others radiate off the screen. I hope you enjoy her words as much as I do.

Leave a comment below to be entered into the drawing for a copy of Erica’s beautiful book, The In-Between. Winner will be chosen at random on Wednesday October 17 and announced on this page so be sure to check back!

Erica is an author, massage therapist, director of a local domestic violence and sexual assault organization, speaker, healer and cheerleader/catalyst to help you live your best life. In her words:

My day is not complete unless it has lots of words in it – either that I am writing or reading.  If I am not doing those things I am probably trying to capture beauty in a photograph, laughing with my niece and nephew or spending time with friends and family.  Each day is an effort to live out my prayer to be love made visible.

You can find her at ericastaab.com, or on Facebook. Her book is available by clicking here.
