Nothing

August 24, 2010 By Alana

I went out tonight, without my husband, without my child. I went out tonight with the friend who has known me the longest. I can’t remember the last time we had a conversation that wasn’t interrupted by children. We drank wine, watched the sun set and the moon come up, listened to gorgeous music. We laughed, cried, reconnected and ate chocolate covered raisins. It was a good night, a fun night, and nothing takes the sadness away.
