I keep getting this message from the universe. After a busy weekend away, I’m listening.
“If you’re having difficulty coming up with new ideas, then slow down. For me, slowing down has been a tremendous source of creativity. It has allowed me to open up — to know that there’s life under the earth and that I have to let it come through me in a new way. Creativity exists in the present moment. You can’t find it anywhere else.”
~ Natalie Goldberg
Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kicking down the cobble stones.
Looking for fun and feelin’ groovy.

P.S. This 550 ft Ferris wheel is in Las Vegas. It’s brand new and can hold 1100 people. It moves verrrry slowly. I spent a lot of time watching it as I stood in the parking lot below for much of the weekend. Slow can be intimidating (or downright scary). It can also be really, really good.

You know what I’m thinking of when I see a ferris wheel.. Santa Monica Blvd 🙂
All my body tells me is slowwww and even though I crave to run super fast, I have no choice but to slow down. Most of the time this option feels like second best – perhaps your mantra came right on time to show me it can be really good as well!
