Yesterday morning Ada woke up and with delight in her eyes, wished us a happy Easter. Then she paused.

Steve and I smiled at each other. Yes, we do.
A chorus of voices rang out. Happy Easter, angel. You are loved.

The link to this video was in my inbox yesterday morning when I awoke – a sweet surprise from the mother of another lost baby boy. It is beautiful – a testament to love, to grief, to honesty and healing and the beauty of life. While it is specifically about a full term stillbirth, it is fundamentally about loss. And that is something we all share. May we all learn to speak our truths and allow others to witness our pain as well as our joy.
