Transformation Talk with Kristin Noelle

July 25, 2013 By Alana

Welcome to Transformation Talk. Every Thursday for a year, starting in September 2012, I’ll post an interview with someone who is a force for good in the world. These men and women have either deepened their passion or found their calling after experiencing a loss, trauma or diagnosis.

I want to broaden the conversation around grief and its transformative power. My hope is that in their words you’ll find echoes of your story. In their inspired actions, you’ll see yourself and your immense possibility.

*Special Request: The technology of Skype is amazing and imperfect. Please listen with your heart and forgive the occasional blips on the screen.

This week I’m talking with Kristin Noelle, a writer and artist whose passion is to help us all live into an ever deepening trust. I was first drawn to Kristin’s beautiful work several years ago and found in her a kindred spirit. I gave her artwork to the participants at my Picking Up the Pieces retreat in 2011 and am thrilled to share her with you here.

This week’s interview is with award-winning film and commercial director Sean Hanish. Sean’s new movie, Return to Zero, is the first Hollywood film to center around the taboo topic of stillbirth. He wrote, directed and co-produced the film based loosely on his personal experience after the stillbirth of his son. We had a fun conversation about a really hard topic. If you feel moved to support the film, all the relevant links are below.

Transformation Talk with Dina Proctor

Welcome to Transformation Talk. Every Thursday for a year, starting in September 2012, I’ll post an interview with someone who is a force for good in the world. These men and women have either deepened their passion or found their calling after experiencing a loss, trauma or diagnosis.

This week’s interview is with author Dina Proctor, whose book Madly Chasing Peace: How I Went From Hell to Happy in Nine Minutes a Day has garnered rave reviews from such heavy hitters in the personal growth field as Jack Canfield, Janet Bray Attwood and Carol Kline. I had the good fortune of meeting Dina in person and she’s truly lovely. I’m honored to have her sharing her story with us today.

Dina Proctor is a mind-body connection expert, engaging speaker and author of “Madly Chasing Peace: How I Went From Hell to Happy in Nine Minutes a Day.” Dina has taken her journey from hitting an emotional rock bottom through struggling with addictions, food issues and depression, to having now found a consistent happiness (little known to most people) and turned it into a simple, practical method for others to change their own lives.

Quite by accident she discovered what she calls “3×3 Meditation” (3 minutes, 3 times a day), which has been the catalyst for her own (and now her clients’) transformation. From weight loss and banishing addictive cravings to reconstructing relationships, this easy and yet incredibly effective method has caught the attention and support of Jack Canfield and Bruce Lipton, PhD, among others, and the media. Dina’s raw and real ability to share herself and her story so openly, along with the power of her 3×3’s, has enabled countless others to begin on the path to wellness in their own lives.

Welcome to Transformation Talk. Every Thursday for a year, starting in September 2012, I’ll post an interview with someone who is a force for good in the world. These men and women have either deepened their passion or found their calling after experiencing a loss, trauma or diagnosis.

Today’s interview is with award-winning author, speaker and spiritual teacher Ayn Cates Sullivan. I’m going to say up front that I love this interview and I recognize that it might be challenging for some. Ayn talks about how she and her father healed their cancer and how that led her to follow her heart on a deeply spiritual path, which includes an experience in the divine light. Even if some of her story seems impossible to you, I encourage you to listen through to the end where you’ll find gentle wisdom that can apply to all of us. (Also, Ayn talks about the impact our ancestral line has on us from a spiritual point of view. There is new research in the scientific field of epigenetics that’s saying a similar thing – it’s mind-blowing.)
