Welcome to Transformation Talk. Every Thursday for a year, starting in September 2012, I’ll post an interview with someone who is a force for good in the world. These men and women have either deepened their passion or found their calling after experiencing a loss, trauma or diagnosis.
I want to broaden the conversation around grief and its transformative power. My hope is that in their words you’ll find echoes of your story. In their inspired actions, you’ll see yourself and your immense possibility.
*This week Skype wouldn’t cooperate at all. (Mercury Retrograde anyone?) Undaunted, we turned to a good old fashioned telephone call. Running time is just shy of 27 minutes.
This week’s interview is with healer, coach and mentor Jenny Karns. She is the creator of the upcoming tele-summit, Remembering Our Magic and a delightful friend of mine. Today Jenny talks about the turning point in her 20’s that took her from being practically house-bound with agoraphobia to joyfully serving on a grand scale.
Transformation Talk with Jenny Karns
Jenny Karns is a healer, writer, health and business coach, teacher, speaker, mentor, avid dreamer, voice for the ancestors, and passionate voice for women’s empowerment and the creation of a thriving global economy.
As a child Jenny was always connected to the magical realms. By discovering the theater and performing arts at age 8 she learned to keep the magic of spirituality and imagination alive and active in her life. Jenny performed in numerous local and professional productions as she was growing up and then went on to graduate from USC with a major in theater and film. She both acted and worked behind the scenes on sitcoms and movies for 8 years after college. When working behind the scenes Jenny had time to read and study her newest passion: Quantum Healing! When the writers strike happened in 2007, she decided to go to the Institute for Psycho Structural Balancing, a modern day “Hogwarts,” where she became certified in Massage, Polarity, and Reiki. In 2008 she started her own healing business, Body Temple Healing, where she went on to help thousands of people find relief from pain and gain clarity in finding their life’s purpose.
In 2009 Jenny began taking multiple courses in business in an effort to find a way to help more people. During this time she produced workshops for speakers and stepped into her own work as a teacher, speaker, and mentor. She began privately coaching and mentoring spiritual teachers about how to grow their business and make a bigger global impact with their message. She also continued to serve her local community through her hands on healing business as well as beginning a seven book series of children’s stories.
Jenny is a healer, teacher, writer, poet, dancer, singer, life artist, and joyfully willing collaborator in every way. She has a wildly open heart and a deep commitment to authentic communication with herself, others, and the divine. She does not believe that anything is outside the realm of possibility. If you can imagine it, you can create it. Jenny is committed to a violence free, thriving global economy and intends to do everything she can to be a part of creating that.

P.S. I’ll be speaking about grief, love and self-care on March 22 at 12pm, PST. Details at the above link. I’d love for you to be there!
